[subPAR] Shuriken Sentai Ninninger – Three-Quarters of Episode 1

This is stupid.

I have decided to make a permanent place for the newest (and first) release of subPAR subs! This is the first 15-ish minutes of Ninninger episode 1. Want more? Maybe I’ll make more. Or something. I don’t know.

Just download the sub file and use it with any release of Ninninger Episode 1. Raw or otherwise. You may need to change the name of the video file to match the sub file.

Enjoy.

Magno The Talking Car Toy Review

One of the coolest things about Saban’s Masked Rider (and Kamen Rider Black RX for that matter) was his car, the Magno (Or Rideron for the Black RX fans). It just added to the hero’s arsenal and basically served as his tank/submarine whenever his bike wouldn’t cut it. So, of course, they made a sweet toy to go with the 5.5″ Masked Rider. It has rubber wheels, sounds, and a sweet chomping gimmick on the front of the grille. But probably the best part about this toy is its size. It’s plenty big enough for the old Masked Rider toy to fit inside, and even big enough for modern 6 inch figures like the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Black RX Renewal Version to hitch a ride.

There’s so much play value here that it is impossible not to recommend. Of course, since it is incredibly old it is very hard to find in good shape. But if you do, it makes a wonderful display piece.

Deluxe 8″ Masked Rider Super Gold Toy Review

So, as a companion piece to yesterday’s review, I bring you the Deluxe Masked Rider Super Gold! This is the other 8″ Masked Rider figure released in 1996. He comes fully loaded with articulation AND his Ecto Ray! The articulation is solid, especially for the time, and he looks really nice. I actually like Super Gold even more than the standard Masked Rider form. Bandai did such a great job on these figures.

It’s a real shame that they never got around to releasing Super Blue. I would have loved to have all three forms in this scale. Still, it’s really cool to see such a rare piece of American Tokusatsu history float around on my desk. If you are ever fortunate enough to find one of these for a decent price, I can’t recommend it enough.

Deluxe 8″ Masked Rider Toy Review

Saban’s Masked Rider was weird, but in kind of a good way. I have nothing but fond memories of the show, so I’ve sort of taken it upon myself to start cataloging the various hard-to-find toys from the show. The Deluxe 8″ Masked Rider certainly fits that bill. In fact, I’ve only seen one other person who actually owned one of these. These American-Exclusive figures were based on the 8 inch Power Rangers figures of the time, and so they retain the same level of detail and articulation as those. Of course, that’s not a bad thing. At the time, these figures were astounding. In fact, they still blow many modern figures out of the water. There’s just something awesome about a big, hefty figure that can move around like a big, hefty articulated brick. And Prince Dex here even came with his Electro Sabre, even though it sort of bends easily.

So, check out the gallery below and soak it all in.

I’ll be back later with another sweet piece of action figure, and this time, it might be a bit SUPER. And GOLD.
